Hampton Inn Columbus I-70E/Hamilton Road

Check-in was straight forward and staff excellent. But hotel is a bit rundown - elevator jammed, corridors are not air conditioned, ice machine on our floor is broken. Otherwise, room is clean, simple, and bed is comfortable.

We had Amanda check us in. Our room air conditioning was not working properly and it was almost 100 degrees outside. I explained to Amanda about the issue and she never hesitated for a second to say " well, we cant have you in a hot room". She was so very kind and put us in another room. Great customer service, Amanda! Our room.and stay were perfect.

Hotel is a bit hard to find off the main highway. When we first checked in they gave us keys for a room that was already occupied.

The hotel looks like something out of a horror movie

Front desk staff was nice. Room was very old. Towels were of rag quality, one had blue stripes on it. Breakfast was good. Area in which this hotel sits is not a good area for travelers. when you see a sign that says park at your own risk at the hotel, it is isn't very comforting. Will make sure I check ratings next time.

Generally Hampton Inns are consistent, clean and located in nicer neighborhoods. For one it was not easy to find since there was not a visible sign from the street and even the small sign above the carport was blocked by trees. Where to start? For one the place seems run down, dirty carpets, horrible stains in the bathtub, and a less than friendly staff. Hampton breakfasts have always been meh but this was even worse. Lack of fresh fruit, no oatmeal(really), stale muffins/bagels, the tiniest cups for juice and lackluster coffee defined this place. They only have two handicap spots and both were taken the first night. Uncomfortable beds and pillows with ill fitting fitted sheets that wouldn’t stay on. Then there was the stains on the mattress and only one set of towels for the 2 nights. Of course we do try to reuse towels yet they didn’t give us an option. And we ran out Kleenex tissues. Naturally I had to go back to ask for bottles of water that are generally given to Gold rewards members. No apology and no thank you for being a rewards member. We have rewards at other hotels so perhaps our loyalty to Hilton needs to be revisited. This is not the experience we expect from a Hilton property nor should anyone. In the hospitality industry you should expect to be treated better. I will include a picture of the sheets and mattress plus the stains in the tub.

the employees were awesome, the area around was not very appealing. bed could have been more comfortable. room was clean , breakfast was awesome. needs some tlc & make your guests aware of the surroundings.

The bed was one of the best we've slept in, in the various trips we've taken. I have mobility issues, and the bed and bathroom were appropriate to meet my needs.

This is a suggestion and not a dislike. There are a number of grab bars that can help facilitate movement. If another was added above the toliet paper this would help with getting up and/or balancing.

There was a mat of hair on the batheroom floor and none of the shower containers had soap, shampoo, etc. Towels were limited and the time on the clocks were off significantly.
