Cedar Court Hotel Huddersfield

Stayed 3 nights booked by Client. Called to make sure it was accessible as had hip replacement and still finding lots of steps an issue! Arrived and parked with my blue badge in assigned spot.. only to be faced with four flights of stairs!’no choice but to walk up steep inclined slope with suitcase. Half way up a member of staff did come down and take my case and help me check in. Yes room itself was great. No complaints there. Shame the room had to be accessed up steps! Managed these but had to get someone to bring suitcase. There is a wheelchair lift but apparently this hadn’t been working for some time. Going into restaurant from room and corridor appeared to be ok but then you had to go down steps to book in or at breakfast to access the buffet. There is a ramp apparently but those on duty had not been trained in its use nor knew how to install it… Staff were very helpful when asked but I shouldn’t have had to ask ? Hopefully my ability will improve before my next visit, but think others with mobility issues should be aware especially if they are lone travellers. Luckily the staff were good and food and room great. But really think management should look at the accessibility issues.

Everything was fantastic. Rooms spotlessly clean, bed was comfy, room well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic and a large choice Staff were well mannered and very helpful

The temperature was either cold or really hot and couldn't be controlled in the room

So last week I wrote a review about this hotel because we had a problem that I was really not happy about We returned tonight and I spoke to the manager who could not be apologetic enough, we were given a free drink and breakfast and refunded for the upgrade that we were forced to pay last week to get another room I think that this was extremely nice and very decent of them to do this and very well appreciated We really do like this hotel and are stopping again next week
