Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Macon North

So on a road trip to Florida and stopped here for the night. Glenis was friendly and nice at the Front Desk. Room cooled down pretty quickly. The only complaint that I had that would have gotten a Very Good Rating was the Bathroom was not cleaned very well. The shower/tub had 3 very long black hair in it. The toliet looked half done or it's just very very old. Caution there is NO water pressure so toliets are slow and seem likely to plug and showers are not powerful! I can't tell you about breakfast due to checking out very early to travel and it was not open at that time. There are restaurants around the hotel and a Publix just behind it. Plenty of options.

Im not racist but the Indian lady owner, made racist remarks about you people come to pay money & get it back & I was like what! Im telling the lady she has bed bugs & I showed her the bed bugs, plus the sheets were dirty & im telling her come, come let me show you what's in your beds, the sheets & how the maids didn't change the sheets

We travel to Florida twice a year and always stop in Macon for the night. This is our go to hotel. It's nothing fancy, but it's clean, cheap, and I always feel safe. Front desk is always friendly and helpful and there are lots of restaurant options nearby.

My family and I showed up to this hotel to stay the night as we were meeting halfway to see each other. Needless to say when walking in the room (Non-Smoking) it smelled like straight up weed along with some other odd smells. Turned the A/C on along with the exhaust fan with the door open to try and get the smell out. Went to go eat then came back and it was still awful. Went to the front desk and asked for a refund and the lady said she could not do that but offered us another room. We went to the other room to check it out and it still smelled... Went back down and said no thanks and ended up paying a night for a hotel we didn’t even sleep, shower, run water in, nor use the TV in. This was a very unpleasant visit to this hotel and needless to say I’m never visiting another Econo Lodge as I am highly unsatisfied with how this situation was handed. Very poor customer service and needs lots of work. This is most definitely not how you run a hospitality business.

We reserved a smoke free room. However the room smelled so bad. We turned the air down and bathroom fan on and went for a bite. Hoping when we returned it would be better. It was still just as bad, only colder of course. We went to the front and was offered another room. However same bad smell. We asked for our money back and was told since it was over 30 minutes and they would not. I strongly urge you not to reserve or pay here until you check out the room. It is very dirty and smells horrible. The 1 star is only because it requires at least 1, otherwise I would offer a negative 5 star.

This place was tired and old, but very cheap and clean...for the price it was good. That said, don't expect much for breakfast. Beds were comfortable and it had a fridge. So if you want a cheap clean place this is for you. Oh and the woman at the counter was VERY helpful and friendly.

It's an Econo Lodge, not the Ritz. Go in with your expectations in check, and you should be fine. The hotel is older, and the rooms are showing their age, but it's clean and safe. The breakfast is a little sparse, but there are waffles. Both desk clerks that I interacted with were super friendly!

Sure customer service. Clean room! Great selection of breakfast, with hot items too! Biscuits and Gravy, scrambled eggs. The room didnt look like the picture (which I wanted it to) but it was still nice, comfortable and clean!

You can tell this is an older building, but the maintenance issues are all cosmetic in nature as far as I could see. The beds were very comfortable - if you've read my other reviews you'll note I have a problem with heel pain a lot, I didn't experience that with these beds. The room was very, very clean, and everything worked as it should, and there was a fridge and a microwave in the room. The owner and staff are wonderful and kind, and accommodated my request for a first-floor room. The breakfast was fantastic, actual hot food like scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. The only (mild) complaint I have is that the pillows were small and flat, but they gave us extras when we asked. The location is also great - there is a Krystals and a public library both within walking distance, and a gas station just up the road. And it's very close to the interstate and very easy to find. For the price, it can't be beat.

The Econo Lodge in Macon was everything that I needed for this particular stay: a clean, comfortable room, clean bathroom and showers, and a cozybed. The night clerk that checked us in was excellent, and the proprietor, Sanjay, was very accomodating. It is clear that he takes pride in his hotel, as he was working hard to improve the grounds as I was checking out. At this price point, the hotel is hard to beat. Thanks Sanjay
