Hotel Rosita

Beautiful older hotel that is clean and well maintained. Perfect location for walking the Malecon. With the new extension of the Malecon the hotel is much quieter then in the past!

A charming Mexican hotel, right on the Malacon and on the waterfront! A 20 minute walk done the Malacon to old town. Shops and eateries along the way right at your fingertips. Very reasonable rates. Can’t say enough good things about the experience.

The Rosita is located within a three minute walk to the busy festive Malecon area that houses many restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is quite quiet and you can’t hear those restaurants but you can’t hear street noise as the building is older and not very soundproof. I found the use of earplugs very handy as it eliminated the noise. I personally found the beds kind of hard but they seem very typical for a quality hotel bed. I need something with a pillow topper I wouldn’t say it was a terrible bed. The service is very friendly and they are very accommodating. I can’t say enough about how they seem to go out of their way for people. The food quality is decent. I can give high praise to the fruit salad the morning, and the drinks are very tasty. The buffet is fairly simple through the week but a good value and on the weekend they something a little bigger, which seems to bring locals out for special occasions. The pool area seemed to have plenty of chairs for everyone and you have the in the backdrop, which is quite beautiful. We had oceanfront rooms and could see the sunset every night, which was gorgeous. Actually breathtaking. Uber cannot drop you off at the front door. You have to walk about a block and a half to your hotel with your bags as the hotel is in an area that is now cordoned off for pedestrian traffic. Lots of touristy shops and restaurants nearby. We took the bus a couple blocks away fairly easily. I’ve wanted to stay here for a long time. It is a heritage landmark in the area and extremely charming and well taken care of for an establishment of its age. Many people we spoke to our return visitors and keep coming back to the Rosita and I can see why. We felt it was an incredibly good value for the price. We also thought it was worth it to get the breakfast included. We had read that they had a very late continental breakfast included, but our breakfast included the buffet on weekdays and “American breakfast“ on the weekends, which was your classic eggs and style, choice of meat, fruit, salad, bread, accompaniment, and refried beans.

Had the best experience ever had a great time location food everything was phenomenal I would recommended 5 stars more like 10 stars for me honestly

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rosita. It's an older hotel and the rooms are basic, but, we had everything we needed. The rooms are a good size, clean and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is charming and the staff and breakfast are wonderful. It's right on the water with ocean breezes and the location is great and quiet. We would stay again.
