"Cold Indoor Pool Water"

You need to be a polar bear club member to enjoy the indoor pool. Ice cold water with very humid air temperature. Front desk staff indicated the pool is not heated. We have stayed here several times over the years with no pool water temperature issues. Also, the marker board in the pool area had not been updated with chlorine level testing results for some reason. This is a public safety issue that should be addressed by management immediately. Desk staff did not seem very interested in addressing my concerns. Very disappointing as we specifically decided to stay here because of the pool and great location. Management needs to be proactive in addressing the pool issue as many folks enjoy a swim after a long day on the road.

This location is very convenient for hiking, skyline drive, and seeing in nearby towns like Staunton and Waynesboro. The hotel is nice and clean, though showing signs of wear. The hotel was completely booked, but we did not hear a peep in our room from any other guests. The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. We did not use the fitness room or the pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was passable but certainly could have been better. The cereal selection was very bland. Basically plain cheerios and raisin bran. The OJ was watered down. The waffles tasted off the first day. I would assume inconsistency with mixing the ingredients.

"No need to try other places"

Great place we stayed at enroute to nearby Blue Ridge Parkway. Next exit east has a lot of restaurants. We chose an almost new Golden Corral which was excellent. In terms of the motel there is a small indoor pool and exercise room. Breakfast from 6am to 10am. No closet in the room. Quiet place.
