Courtyard by Marriott Edmonton Downtown

The beds were not very comfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Parking was an extra $45 per car, which felt excessive. For the extreme price of the stay, the value just wasn’t there.

It was very expensive for what you get. But it’s a solid hotel and the staff were accommodating enough

The Courtyard Edmonton Downtown is sadly subpar for the Marriott brand. The front desk was slow. When there was a line they help people who cut and not in order. Why do we line up for help and to check in? One of the elevators was out of order and the working one was filthy. There was quite a few loose hairs in my bathroom and all the toiletries in the shower were really low so hard to pump product out. The entrance is next to a busy parking lot so you have to dodge cars to walk in. The surrounding area has a lot of homeless people and construction everywhere so it isn't nice outside. Overall, I would not recommend or stay here again. The only redeeming quality is its distance to the convention center.

This hotel was clean, quiet and staff was friendly and helpful

There was a public parking lot next to the hotel and the hotel staff tried to get us to pay for the parking through them instead of just paying through the machine yet they wanted to charge double the price. You couldn’t just park without getting almost harassed by staff to pay through them. Seemed very unethical to us to do this.
