Paxton Hotel

Room service was efficient. Breakfast was good. Reception was friendly.

Bathroom was too small. Shower head was below my eye line and far too low for a normal person to use safely and the shower door didn't close which led to flooding on the bathroom floor. Shower soap was difficult to dispense as it kept falling over on the rack. TV and A/C is very old.

Everyting, from friendly staff to great location.

Can't complain.

Breakfast was so standard and having stayed there for 5 days, there was absolutely no variety with regards to the warm breakfast options.

the power outages and Wi-Fi. I was there in April when I experienced the exact same challenges. when questioning this with the staff they advised that management is well aware that the Wi-Fi is substandard and does not work near the bar nor the reception area. the power kept tripping. when i asked the manager on duty when the Wi-Fi and power challenges were going to be resolved I got an entire "education" talking down speech as to why it was not the hotel's fault with even a bit of finger waiving in my face. This hotel will never be seeing me again I don't care what "specials" you will be running. in 2026 how can we still be having challenges with connectivity issues.
