SureStay Hotel By Best Western Olathe

The lady at the check in counter was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional for a Hotel breakfast. We did have clean towels each day, we appreciated that.

The flooring in our room was terrible, the floor planks didn’t meet in several places so there were gaps in our floor tiles and as a result there was all kinds of gunk in the floor cracks, we stayed for 3 nights and while I realize the staff is busy with room cleanings I was disappointed that our bed was made each day with a decided lack of caring, in other words it was very poorly done.I know that isn’t a big deal but too me it was.

The staff was really kind and helpful, I want to be clear about that but the room I stayed in was non-smoking but smelled like a wet ashtray, it was really bad. There was also a good amount of bugs in the room and everything seemed like it had been wiped down and cleaned but the room just felt very dirty and gross. I do not recommend staying here unless you are desperate.

Horrible. My daughter and I booked this for KU family weekend. We were both terrified. People wandering the parking lot, room smelled awful. We immediately left and found another place to stay.

Decent stay for the money. Good location.

The fridge didn’t work, fortunately they were able to replace it the next day. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work and all the humidity from the shower will move to the room.

Even though the place was older it was in pretty good shape and was clean. The breakfast had a nice variety of food and drink. I would definotely stay again!

Hotel pictures were deceiving. Hotel appeared to be nicer in pictures than actually was. Old hotel with permanent low income residents. Had to walk thru clouds of cigarette and marijuana smoke to room. Bed was horrible, had to sleep on edge of mattress to avoid rolling into center. No shower curtain.
