The beautiful landscape and shimmering river by the hotel is unbeatable. The king room is comfy and nice. Everything is clean and neat.
Needs some upgrades, mainly just some better fixtures while leaving the old look

I have mixed feelings about the Lafayette. As others have said, it's in a perfect location along the river. Restaurants and shops are very walkable. I loved the beautiful historic building. However, the room and bathroom were both extremely small. There was no refrigerator or microwave. There was a lot of street noise which the loud fan from the window air conditioner couldn't drown out. The window blinds didn't block out the light. There was something literally sticking up from the floor which was covered by the carpet - high enough that it was a trip hazard. The breakfast was delicious - it's in the restaurant and it's cooked to order (not a buffet). But make sure you know which items to order - I was confused and ended up paying for breakfast. They give you a breakfast ticket at check-in but evidently there is only one free option (maybe?), but it wasn't completely clear to me. I liked the hotel for its historic charm and location, but there were a few things lacking.
We have been there many times and always makes it our place to stay. Love the charm!
Very clean hotel but it’s very small and you can hear everything outside if you’re on the Street side. It’s nice they have ice and give you a couple water bottles, but it lacks amenities like a refrigerator. The dining options are terrible as I had to wait over 10 min for service at the Gun room restaurant and Starbucks.
We love the unique styling of each room! Front desk was so friendly!
