"C'mon Get Happy"

My sister and I stayed here for three nights along with a large group of others in town to celebrate David Cassidy, who lived in West Orange as a kid. We honestly didn’t expect the hotel to be this nice—loved it! Our suite was beautiful and spotless, as was the entire hotel. It was a stretch of 95° days, so the hallways were a bit warm, but the room stayed cool and comfortable with the A/C running all week. I didn’t discover the pool until the last day, but I’m so glad I did—it was a perfect way to wind down. Breakfast was your standard free hotel breakfast, but there was something for everyone (and the waffles were definitely a highlight!). The two female bartenders were awesome—Wendy was one, and I’m sorry I forgot the other’s name. Both were friendly and fun, and really added to the experience. Overall, a great stay!

The hotel was well maintained. The hotel bar was nice but the food was mediocre. The property itself was nicely maintained. The location felt secluded and was near a few things. I would recommend.

The hotel resembles an old manor. We found staff members distant and off putting, almost condescending. However, the hotel is quiet, the breakfast is fresh and ample, the location is good, and the bathrooms are very clean.
