Paddington House Hotel

Mattresses were uncomfortable. I noticed there were no mattress covers on bed. Carpets really not clean. Bathroom shower curtain, very dirty. toilet hand flusher also not clean. Towels,, sheets, and pillow cases were very clean. doors need attention, quite dirty.....Staff, top class very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, and price was very fair.

Bathroom Extractor not working. Black Mould in the bedroom and bathroom. Carpets have seen better days. No instructions on how to operate room facilities. Upgrading the public areas to the detriment of the guest rooms. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Reception staff friendly & helpful. Appears in need of an update. Facilities very dated. Advertises a restaurant but when I inquired I was told they no longer had one & only offered microwaved type food. Bed very uncomfortable & all other fittings of poor quality & generally outdated.

Very tired hotel which looked no better in the daylight than when I arrived in the late evening There was an awful smell in the reception area in the morning , the corridors and lift were very tired as were the doors to the rooms and the shower . Very rusty towel rail and black mound caused by condensation on the ceiling . Given it is only two star I had expected little but was still disappointed .

Very unhappy with this stay. Upon arrival, the hotel looks like a 60's social club. When checking in, the hotel had taken the liberty of charging my card in advance, which I wasn't too happy about. The decor is horribly dated, the rooms have thin walls, the beds are like a pile of old springs in a bag, and the curtains are like paper. Worst night sleep I've had in a long time and extremely expensive for the quality.

Nicely situated hotel close to city centre. However building is tired. The room we stayed in had a faulty window which we could not close and the floors did not seem very level. Having said that it was very clean and the staff very helpful. A our daughters in-laws live in Warrington we visit a couple of times a year and would not hesitate to stay hear again. Good Value!

For two mornings, during my stay in had cold running water, so freezing showers! At this moment the hotel is in a middle of refurshing, so you get woken up early by workmen banging...including loud radio and singing. The receptionists staff are friendly, but at this moment its not ideal just yet.

I found the hotel being upgraded and will be better. Some of internal fittings were in need of care or renewal. Overall it was ok for my needs.Local pub nearby that served good food and beverages.
