The Townhouse Inn

The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful

The cable guide was on the tv and it didn’t show what was on nor what time programs came on. The WiFi wasn’t very good you would loose reception for awhile

Whoever picked up the phone was rude. I get in the room, The lights don’t work. I was told it was because there was construction outside. Ok. I get in a new room there’s an empty old old drank out of cup sitting on the AC unit. The room said no smoke sign but it’s not what it smelt like. Old spoon under the desk. I was concerned if there was any unwanted bugs. But thankfully not

I liked the $70/night price. The room and bathroom was clean and bright. The bed was very comfortable. The sidewall heater functioned perfectly. There is no breakfast area, but there is a small pantry of items in the office to purchase like beverage cans and bottles, microwave popcorn, chips, etc. Once in the room I noticed no items like soap, shampoo, etc. I told them at the office, and they seemed surprised and immediately handed me a basket of all the items I could possibly want. The TV worked, the WIFI worked and the room was quiet. No complaints!

Here in Feb 2025 there is a street improvement project encircling the motel, which challenges any cellphone mapping app to guide you to the front gate. I arrived at night which added to the challenge. The title, "Townhouse Inn" might create a mental image that differs from reality. This is a two level motel squeezed in a very un-scenic part of town that you would have very little desire to walk around in. However, it's close to High Point University, and is clearly the most economical choice for short term lodging at $70/night. If I was with my wife and daughter, they would want to spend more $ in a regular hotel-like structure with room service, etc.
