The staff and customer service was incredible. They went above and beyond to assist us. Best hotel staff we have every stayed with. This will be our go to hotel for San Angelo trips.

I must begin by saying the person checking me in at 4:00 in the afternoon on Thursday March 27 was super nice and accommodating. I'm the one that couldn't make a decision, and cancelled and re-booked the room at 3 different rates. I was entitled to a discounted rate, but probably not after all that changing. I owed them a sur-charge for putting up with me. I've stayed here before and I have good memories of that, although I had no memories of it before I arrived. My first impressions of the place are that it's an oddly shaped building, and he halls kind of wind around all over the place. They put me in a room at the end of a hall probably because they suspected I was going to be a problematic guest. Anyhow, after arriving in my sleeping room, everything in it was what I expect from IHG brands, which are never ratty. The bath was sparkling, the beds made perfectly, and the furniture looked like it was made yesterday. The work desk could use an electrical outlet or two because everyone brings a phone or computer. That's minor, as there's plenty of watts still in the wall outlets. Like most properties today, they are not in the food business. I was delighted to find Cheddars next door, a brand I have become very fond of, who also packed up and left my neighborhood, and razed their building. The fact they took out the building shocked me. This belongs to the former Holiday Inn brands, and this one is plenty good enough. It has one of those two-burner range tops in the room with a microwave oven and no range hood. I've never turned one on, but when i look at that I think about frying chicken for a family, and what kind of mess would be left behind. The idea that a family on a tight budget could live here and prepare their own meals is pretty distant to me. I can't think of any food stuff I'd be willing to bring in here and actually cook it. I don't leave messes like that for housekeeping to clean up. I won't do that in my own home. And, how I wish all properties providing a kitchenette would provide a trash receptacle large enough for kitchen trash. The bath space is generous, and they have not converted to shower stalls yet. Some properties are advertising showers over tubs, and I could really care less. I am on board helping housekeeping by making cleaning these rooms better. I’d vote to take the dish washers out and expect the guest to use disposable service items. This is a hotel room; not a diner. The swimming pool is empty, but I did notice it’s almost 5 feet deep. That’s fairly rare today, as too many people have been hurt, and most properties don’t want anyone diving into the water. I remember 8’ diving boards, and 12’ deep pools, but that’s ancient history. This room had some unusual features being a laundry basket and a pitcher in the refrigerator. That’s not expected for sure. Outside this place is an amusing assortment of sprinkler heads, among the stumps where the shrubs have been cut down, surrounded by bare dirt with a few springs of grass still growing. It looks very normal for landscaping in this region of the state. But, the wishful thinking of putting in a sprinkler system leaves me wondering if anyone ever turned it on. Rain has never been plentiful here, and landscaping ghastly expensive. I doubt any of the guests even notice there once was a sprinkler system very obviously doing little good.

We specifically chose this hotel because of the amazing pool pics. When we got there we found out the hot tub was broken and they drained the pool...

Overpriced at 400 a nite in san angelo and no staff to assist

The property was fine nothing wrong with it but Travelocity wasn't correct for the room the one I seen and reserved through Travelocity, not correct the breakfast wasn't as described on Travelocity either

Stay was great. The staff allowed us to check in early and check out an hour late due to the circumstances of our travel. Breakfast was great and had lots of options!

Great stay close to campus rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Would stay here again when visiting San Angelo.
