Comfort Inn & Suites Amarillo West Near Medical Center

I bring a lot of food along on my road trips so it is convenient for me to have the refrigerator and freezer in my room. This is one of the important reasons why I book this hotel. BONUS! Love your sheets and comforter...soft and luxurious!

The smell was awful.

Nice and clean

In one corner there was a pile of rubble that looks like it was dumped there but over all it was nice. I rented a room with a spa or hot tub and it did not so I lost some money there and the TV cable didn’t work so we were out from watching TV for a day.

Proximity to restaurants

Traffic noise.

Bed was comfortable.

When i walked in I was hit with a musky mold smell. The front area was small and cramped. It had furniture that was very shabby and old and left no room to get to rooms. The night staff was unprofessional. Distracted and failed to program my keys, which resulted in a 2nd trip down and when I asked how to use it, I was ignored. A very small evaluator only fits 2 with min luggage. The room was very old with dated interior. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was made for little people. Toilet was almost on floor and very difficult to get up from, side of bathtub came to my lower mid calf. Drain was slow. Breakfast area was dated with furniture that was old with chairs that were worn. The food was cold, they were out of eggs and potatoes, the biscuits were still thawing out. It was very unappealing. They were out of coffee. It was not being maintained by staff. Left with feeling I would pass next time. I usually chose comfort inns because of their reputation and my experience with them. But this one is in desperate need of a complete update to make it more competitive to the hotels around it.
