Very nice hotel located in the old part of the city. Access by car requires taxis with permission to enter the old city through narrow, cobblestone roads; entrance to the premises is through a small walkway. Arrival was late that may have affected my check-in experience. I was assigned a wrong room twice and one of the rooms was occupied. Turning on the lights was challenging to this visitor as it required a unique way to insert the room card (narrow slit). I asked the front staff to help and he could not turn them on either and we had to call an engineer to help - and who rolled his eyes when he showed us how it was done. I would have said something but it was 11:00 pm; I was hungry and tired and just wanted to get to bed. Assigned room was large, very nicely laid out with period furniture and was adorned with many amenities - 2 TVs, fridge, coffee making, walk-in closet, separate bathroom and toilet etc. Bedroom and sitting room were very comfortable, and had ample electrical outlets; climate control was responsive and wifi signal was robust and reliable. Large bathroom had 2 sinks and walk-in shower that provided great water pressure; however, temperature of the water fluctuated periodically that may washing uncomfortable. Interior decor of the hotel was quaint - it kept many of the old structures and design that made it unique and interesting; I liked it. Breakfast offerings was varied and of good quality - but there are many dining options adjacent to the premises. Its location is a great feature.

la douche du matin a été désagréable, l'eau très chaude alternait sans cesse avec l'eau très froide. c'est pénible et inadmissible.

Localização e estrutura histórica

Trata-se de um paradoxo, pois que, os quartos são demasiadamente exíguos (apesar de ter pago um quarto intermédio, não o mais barato para casal),com espaço interior que daria apenas para uma pessoa que viage em "backpack", sem outras malas , mas a preço que habituallmente esses viajantes não podem ou não querem pagar.. Atoalhados de casa de banho de baixa qualidade. Sanita deveria ser de tipo "japonês", dado não existir bidé. Concièrge muito pouco informdad, com indicações de moradas erradas para o solliicitado

La posizione è perfetta e l’hotel semplicemente meraviglioso, architettura, arredo, servizi, ambiente in generale davvero da sogno.

Un’unica sbavatura: l’orario di check-in era alle 15, sono arrivato un po’ prima (verso le 14.15) e mi hanno chiesto di tornare. Sono tornato alle 14.50 e mi hanno fatto attendere esattamente fino allo scoccare delle 15.00 in sala d’attesa, benché la camera fosse pronta già da molto prima, anche perché l’hotel era mezzo vuoto… un hotel a 5 stelle da 300 euro a notte sinceramente potrebbe mostrare un pochino più di flessibilità e gentilezza… sgradevole!

The hotel is beautiful but some rooms are extremely dangerous except for the able bodied. I had two steps up to my wash basin, another step up to ghd shower, yet another step led to a staircase to a mezzanine floor containing the bed. The toilet was situated at the entrance to the room, necessitating a perilous journey to the loo at night ! Very badly designed. The two chairs faced the room safe and a blank wall. The huge tv was on the mezzanine so you watched tv in bed or not at all. No bedside tables, no chair and nowhere except the floor to put clothes you took off !
