"NO HOSPITALITY"

This is a hotel that seems to have forgotten they are in the HOSPITALITY BUSINESS. The building is charming & in a great location. However, the front desk staff is HORRIBLE,. The only helpful and friendly person working there seemed to be the maintenance Engineer (who was helpful, & friendly). We arrived at 2pm... and our room was not ready (OK 3pm check-in). We asked if we could drop off our bags. "We don't usually do that" was the response. This was as friendly as it got. They did offer us a room that suddenly became available ... but one in which the HEAT did not work - we later found out that they knew this AND did not mention it (we ended up wth a space heater in the room)! This could be a really good hotel... but they need better staff/management ... and we strongly suggest at least one or 2 of the front desk staff take a shower and put on some clean clothes). This is sad. Untill they get a better team - RUN AWAY!!!

A quick visit to the casino and an enjoyable stay at the hotel. Breakfast was very good also.

"Never going back."

Room temp. Was not consistent, had a horrible nights sleep. Asked to change room however hotel booked. So we left instead of having another bad sleep.

"Big room, soft beds, a very generous breakfast and warm staff."

Big room, high ceilings, quirky decor with very generous breakfast with amazing staff. Ryan the head chef was a inclusive and friendly host. It is a must if Keene is on your holiday route. The front lobby has a viewing table where a coffee can be enjoyed next to the gas fire watching the quiet town pass by. On the far side on the street is a wonderful Mexican restaurant with fresh authentic food.
