Austria Hof is in a great location right next to Mammoth Canyon Lodge, ski lifts, and mountain bike trails. We appreciated the last minute availability, affordability, and helpful, kind staff. The bed and linens were great and the hotel seems to be popular even outside of the ski season. The continental breakfast offerings were also a bonus. We were grateful for the use of the hot tub.

To go breakfast was good, with a good Coffee. Location is amazing, very warm welcome by courteous staff.

Beds pretty soft, stirs not ideal for an older person, but we managed. Restaurant was closed but other options available.

The hotel is clearly old and poorly maintained. They advertise having a spa, but in reality it is just an old, run-down outdoor hot tub, nothing like what you would expect. The restaurant was closed for the season, which was not clearly indicated at the time of booking. The rooms are very noisy, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. On top of that, it is hard to understand why they charge 50 USD for parking, especially during the summer when the entire street is empty and there is plenty of space available. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not meet expectations. I will not be returning.

We really liked this place. Cute hotel and comfortable bed. Staff was friendly. They provide a simple breakfast. It had a fireplace so that was nice. We paid about $150 for our room and we're more than happy with everything.

There's nothing we didn't like. A few things to keep in mind is there are a lot of steps to get in so that could be an issue if you have a lot of bags. The room we has a portable AC unit in the closet that we didn't need but if you have ever used those you know they are really loud.
