Ferrycarrig Hotel

My room was huge and had a view of the river. The breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotels is near some nice hiking areas and the town of Wexford. Also about 20 minutes from the Kennedy homestead. They have a nice patio by the river to enjoy a drink and/or a meal. Lot of other extras at the hotel as well - gym and small playground of the kids.

We had a warm welcome...The room was spacious and clean...the bed was very hard...and the receptionist said she would get housekeeping to put a mattress topper on it....but this didn't happen....we had a very nice meal...and the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive.we thought breakfast was served from 0630...however it didn't start until 0700 and as we were catching the ferry we couldn't have any breakfast .The setting for the hotel was lovely.

Serene, clean, helpful friendly staff, pool and gym are safe and well maintained, restaurant food is excellent and reasonably priced, room has comfortable bedding. In short, great hotel which I will recommend to family and friends.

Great hotel and lovely food. I travel a lot with work and this is some of the best food come across in my travels, both breakfast and dinner. I will be staying again.

The hotel is situated on the waters edge with amazing views.From the moment we arrived at reception and greeted with a smilimg face and able to check in earlier.The room was amazing and spotless and view from the balcony was super.WE were on a 3 night stay and ate in the bar every night. The food was excellent. The bar staff were brilliant. The staff in the breakfast room were you guessed brilliant.We used the Wellness room for back massage and my wife got a,pedicure which was very professional. You staff are a credit to you and we will be back. Thanks for a 3 night stay.

A beautiful location and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are excellent: professional and friendly but not intrusive. We will definitely visit again when we return to Wexford.

A very attractive and convenient site on the edge of Wexford. Very good menu in the walk in bar / restaurant and served by very well trained staff. The amenities are extensive.

Ferry carrig is a beautiful place. The views are breathtaking. The breakfast was gorgeous. I always have trouble asking for hot milk in the morning but not the case in Ferrycarrig Hotel. Staff were magnificent. Rooms comfortable but can be a tad cold. There are 2 little things 1. The lift…… it is sooooo slow and the one lift caters for all floors. On the last morning it was out of order so I had to go up and down the stairs. It’s not a problem for me as I’m young, but I thought of less abled people or wheelchair users….. how would they get downstairs for breakfast or evacuate if there was a fire????? 2. The parking…… while plenty of it, once again if there easier access as there are a lot of steps to climb or descend to and from the parking area if you aren’t lucky enough to get a parking spot in front of the hotel! I can’t offer solutions I’m afraid but perhaps a golf buggy with the concierge available when people arrive/depart so that there is comfort for the patrons and they don’t get wet!!!

Comfortable room wit ha deck and views of the estuary. Unfortunately we had a noisy extractor fan (presumably from the kitchen) close to our deck. Next time we will ask for a fifth floor room. Food in the bar was very good although wine choice was very small. This may improve when the main restaurant is open. Breakfast was good both in choice and in quality. The coffee could be better though. Double espresso was passable but not very strong or very full flavoured.
