Wyndham Reef Resort Grand Cayman

The view and terrace were excellent. The bed very comfortable.

No desk in the room. Are you kidding? What the hell kind of hotel room doesn't have a desk? The easy chair was big, clunky, scratchy, and in the way. The room's construction was very odd, and while it would require major reconstruction to remedy the issues, it was a tremendous pain in the ass. First, you have two doors to get through. The first on the outside leads to a inner vestibule where there are two doors to two different suites. Both the outer door and vestibule room door require the key to unlock. Do you know what a tremendous hassle it is to carry luggage and groceries through two doors every time you need to bring something in and out? Second, the bathtub for some reason is built in the middle of the suite, so there wasn't room to move the easy chair into TV position even if I wanted to. Third, they only came to clean the room twice in six nights! What the hell are you running here, a resort or a flophouse? Not even a couple of courtesy water bottles in the refrigerator.

The staff was warm, friendly and gracious. They were always available to provide services or simply answer questions.

The location was beautiful, all units had an incredible view. I walked out my patio door to the beach. Food was excellent at the beach bar and Restaraunt. My unit was a little dated but clean. Newer buildings were very nice. It was located close to activities, but far enough away from the congested areas to feel like you were in your own little piece of paradise. The vibe was casual, island pace and everyone from the staff to guests was friendly. The grocery store across the street, couple minute walk, was a huge plus.

My unit was older and had a musty smell. Staff was accommodating and tried, unsuccessfully, to remedy the problem.

Beach great. Staff very friendly. Good amenities nearby.

Fantastic condo immediately on the lovely beach. Nice facilities and bar for sunset

It is quite quiet at that end on the island but it had a lot to offer to be right in the beautiful beach

It was away from the hot spots so it was nice and quite. We went in November so it was almost like we were in our own private island at times

The cleaning staff once came once during our 5 day stay, our garbage started to stink, I had to remove it and put it out in the hallway. We had to reuse our washcloths multiple times because they didn’t come in. I understand they are a green hotel but that was a bit extreme. The beaches were a bit dirty. They had someone come in daily to clean the beach with a machine but they never went towards the beach end so it was always filled with lime and and always filled with garbage that the ocean would bring in. They should really have someone come in and rake that every day or every other day
