"Okay, but little disappointing "

6.0

Wasn’t the best motel I stayed at in Portland. Some of the outlets did not work. I only have 1 lamp that was working in the room, only had 1 light in the bathroom because the light above the mirror had burn out bulbs. Bed was okay, not the best motel in the area. Won’t stay here again.

The location was excellent. The parking was free and other hotels nearby all charge a fee.

You get what you pay for. Check in staff was not friendly. The room had very little. The ice bucket didn’t have a liner. There was only 2 bath towels and they were very small. Only one wash cloth and one hand towel for a room with 2 beds. No bath floor mat. The towel rack was on the floor behind the toilet. There was only a half a roll of toilet paper on the rack, no extra. The bed comforters had holes on them. No mattress protector. The room felt very outdated and not clean. Location is convenient, however the MAX runs right by there so it’s loud all night long. All in all, I was glad to have a place to stay and not pay and arm and a leg, but I will still never stay there again. I will pay more for something more clean and comfortable.

Constant rumbling from the tram on both cross streets felt like I was staying in the proverbial shack by the railroad tracks.. Every 15 minutes a loud rumble shook the entire building. Convenient to the convention center though!, and saved about 40 bucks on additional parking. Wifi was abysmal. Staff acted like they would rather be somewhere else. AC wasn't much quieter than the tram rumbling - Stay here if you are a really sound sleeper.

The room smelled like poison-what ever cleaners they use are super smelly. The beds didn’t have frames just box springs on the floor. The bathroom had holes in the drywall and exposed electrical outlets. The shower sprayed water all over the bathroom from a crack in the pipe. Our front door didn’t close all the way. We had to engage the deadbolt to keep it from being just shoved open. I’ve stayed in third-world motels that we’re better than this.

"Parking issues"

6.0

Room was very smoky. It was comfortable enough. The worst thing was the parking not near enough for the number of rooms. That was so inconvenient, had to keep moving my car and paying astronomical parking fees.

The room was not clean. The bed was uncomfortable. The room smelled like marajuana. Other guests were up very late into the morning and the walls are thin, so I couldn't sleep. Would not recommend.

"Expensive."

2.0

Ok it’s a motel and IF it was half the price that we paid I might be giving it a more ‘understanding’ review. But it was expensive for what it was. In this place - standards are low. The handwritten signs in reception saying “no refunds” were a bit of a red flag but we had committed to the place so we had to stay. On entering the room we were immediately hit by a musty smell that could possibly have been stale smoke from previous guests. The bedspread had holes in it and had been patched up with what looked like band-aids. Towels were rough and cheap but they were replaced each day. The soap was cheap and nasty - bring your own if you do decide to stay here. Personally I loved the location of the Motel. I thought it was very handy for getting downtown to explore and the streetcar system is very useful for getting back to the airport for $2.50. It’s a shame that this place isn’t making the most of what it’s got. It would not cost that much to smarten the rooms up. Put a small wardrobe in, some new duvets and provide better bathroom facilities, stop people smoking in the rooms! The motel is very near the conference centres, so I imagine that they can be a bit uncaring as to what clients think because they will always probably get the overspill from people who can’t get into the other nicer hotels nearby. As for Portland itself - great city. Loved every minute of it but do yourself a favour and don’t bother with Motel 6.

"Avoid this place. "

2.0

We chose this place as one of the cheapest with a decent location. It is right near the rail line and the sound proofing is quite bad, so you hear the transit line all night. The non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke and there were cigarette burn holes in the bedding. The tv had no remote. The room had many fruit flies, especially in the bathroom. It was a very unpleasant place to stay and we got out of there as soon as we could in the morning.
