Marriott's Shadow Ridge I-The Villages

Perfect for Coachella 20 min drive !

Our stay at Shadow Ridge was fun. The pools are great and there are convenient shuttles to transport you from one end of the resort to the other, and directly to your building. The only food options are the bar and grills at two of the pools, and a marketplace in the reception building. The pool bar and grills close at 6:00 so there really isn't a dinner option after that, unless you want something from the cold case or shelf at Marketplace. There are bbq's throughout the property and kitchenettes in the rooms, but if you're looking to be on vacation and not have to cook and do dishes, you have to go off property for dinner or order meal delivery. It would be great to have a couple of restaurants onsite for dinner and room service.

Came during rhe LA wildfires. They didnt raise rhe rates which was very appreciative. You can pre book and ask for golf course view where the 1st floor is great, you patio is the golf course grass and spacious. Or ask for Mountain view which is great also. The pool is perfect for kids 10 and under. Pool is away from accommodations so your room is peaceful.

The place is lovely. Since we arrived during busy season it was full, but our suite was quickly ready. The major issue concerned the pool too many toddler accidents in the pool caused it to close down for hours on the days we were there

The hotel service was really not good, my room smelled like smoke and was with my family. They would not even change our room

There wee aunts and bugs

During certain times of the year this property is susceptible to high winds. Our main trip goal was to hang poolside each day. Two of the four days were not possible due to the high winds. Otherwise, a very nice property.

On check -in my husband was told he couldn't check in as the reservation was in my name. My husband was furious! The check-in person said a person was allowed 2 beach towels for the entire stay of 2 weeks. Also we would be responsible for washing our bath towels. Both of these things were untrue. We were there for 2 weeks and didn't get the bed sheets changed until the 12th night! Also the lotion in the bathroom does not come out of plastic bottle. Plastic too stiff! Disappointing that restaurant is closed by golf course.

Beautiful resort. Nice pools. The studio was a bit cramped in kitchen area and they did not refill the coffee when room was cleaned (midway through our stay). We also had to request more bath/shower wash because initially it was just water in the container! Would stay here again though. Close to lots of conveniences.
