Stargazer Hotel

Hotel is near eateries/shopping centre. Bed is comfortable. There is ample parking available.

Place/furniture is a bit dated. We stayed for 1 night only and it was ok

Room was super clean and nice. Pool was really good.

Our room was super clean! The balcony and ocean view was an amazing experience! The pool and hot tub were super therapeutic for an old man like me! Hahaha! My wife fell in love with the property! Now, we have our "go to spot" when we visit Monterey!

Everything was perfect for our stay!

The hotel itself was fine and conveniently located on the main road between Monterey and Carmel, which worked well for our road trip.

We arrived right at the stated 3 PM check-in time but ended up waiting in our car for about 40 minutes, despite rooms appearing to already be cleaned and available. While waiting, we watched other rooms continue to be cleaned and prepared. We had requested a room with a view, fully understanding that requests are never guaranteed. However, after the extra wait, we assumed there may have been a reason for it or that we were being assigned a particular room. Instead, we were placed on the first floor overlooking a parking lot next to a building under construction/work. The entire experience just felt a bit odd and disorganized compared to other places we’ve stayed during our travels. Nothing terrible, just disappointing and not what we expected. Also, they do mean first come first serve on the parking so we had to park on the street for one of the days, which is not a far walk,

Great location for Monterey and Carmel. Easy 15 minute walk to the pier and 45 to Cannery Row. We almost booked another motel on the same strip but pleased as Stargazer rooms are set further back off the road and very quiet. Unfortunately no breakfast but coffee maker in the room and wider selection of hot drinks available in reception. Easy check-in with keyless access.

Shower head quite low but everything was clean and as expected
