Hampton Inn & Suites East Lansing

Room was clean and nice, hotel staff is a 10/10 very friendly…Amy who was serving breakfast was amazing! She deserves to be recognized not only did she do great at keeping items full on a busy weekend she also greeted everyone and made my kids feel at home they even said mom she’s really nice! Pool/hot tub was not very appealing, both very cloudy, possibly From too many chemicals, my sisters skin broke out when she got out (super red) but hot tub was dirty and there were ants around it and bubbles didn’t work but kids still had fun. I would probably stay again I’m sure the pool and hot tub will be getting delt with and will be fixed.

The hot tub was dirty and barely warm. The jets hardly blew.

It was family friendly. Our kids enjoyed the stay. the breakfast was good and they had a good variety. We had to ask for towels every night because there weren't any in the room when we arrived. We were told we would get extra hilton honors points for the inconvenience but never did. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the hot tub. It was located next to a lot of restaurants so we didn't have to travel far for lunch or dinner if we wanted. We also didn't have to travel far to the MSU Pavilion for the Horse Expo which was a bonus. The beds were a little hard, but not to the point of loosing sleep.

We were promised extra hilton honor points for never receiving towels both nights and never received them. Please don't promise something if you don't plan on following through with it. It reflects on the company as well as yourself.

The staff and hotel were great. They accommodated our group quickly and Alyssa at the front desk was very helpful even with a late check-in. The breakfast was good, and the rooms were well kept. I would recommend for a longer stay or just passing through.

I liked the location. It was convenient and close to the highway, places to eat and the university. Breakfast was also good. Rooms were large and comfortable. I did not like that we were not given any notice that the property is under construction. We arrived late at night and the "Hampton Inn" signage was not on, so it was difficult to find. The hot tub was not functioning and there was no notice of that when I made the reservation. We specifically made the reservation to this location because of the hot tub, in addition to the other items that made it an ideal hotel. Overall I am glad that the hotel appears to be getting an overhaul.

A year ago the water main broke and they claimed the lobby would be fixed by October 2024. It is February 2025 and nothing has changed. The beds are rock hard and the pillows are too soft. The elevators were not working and the hot tub was broken. We had to pay full price but the hotel is not fully operating. Not going back to this hotel.

Hot tub wasn't working and was dirty. Didnt feel clean in the pool area. Outside was dirty. There was trash around outside of hotel. I didnt feel this hotel was kept up with very well. Our bathtub drain/plug didnt work to keep water in tub for a bath. We have stayed at other Hampton Inn's that were very nice, but didnt care for this one.
