Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino

Could not be happier. The layout and amenities of the hotel worked out perfectly. The staff went above and beyond dealing with the inconveniences that happened with Jet Blue and made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Calvin and Gino at the front desk are rock stars in the best way

Resort is laid back, quiet, great location. Walking distance to downtown / restaurants. Stunning view on the water. Very friendly staff in the dive shops, restaurant and bars. Next to the big pier where the cruise ships dock. Rooms & bathrooms updated. Not luxury but very nice & clean. Quiet. Room with a water view. This is our third stay with Divi, always a pleasure.

Fantastic vacation! From the moment I arrived the entire staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Misha and Calvin were wonderful to me the entire time I was there. Celine was top notch! She was professional, welcoming and friendly and could be seen at various times in different locations about the property. My housekeeper was Kayliana (not sure of spelling) and made sure I had everything I needed daily. The property was beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of chairs, cabanas and shade between the two property pools. The view was par-none and definitely one of the most beautiful beaches of the Caribbean. I was all inclusive and found enough dining options to satisfy my needs. The breakfast buffet was good and many choices. Coffee was okay but I preferred making my own in my room. Finding a meal is hard if you have off hours since the restaurants are only open at certain times. My room was in the perfect location. It was quiet and I was never disturbed which is exactly what I was looking for. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was super comfy with wonderful pillows. Nice TV with plenty of channel selections. A/C worked well. Bathroom was satisfactory and comes with a basic hair dryer; not one of those wall things that is there to simply say they have! Plenty of towels except I had no wash clothes. The front desk quickly accommodated as well as housekeeping when I asked for. And that view from the 2nd story balcony is incredible. The spa is a must visit!!

We went for the day as an escape from our cruise ship. 20 dollars for the day to use all amenities and a fabulous rum cocktail! Staff super friendly and professional Loved it so much. Wonderful beach, great snorkeling and quiet. Ate in the beach resturant ..superb. Loved the tranquility around the pool, a good size and perfect for swim before heading back to the cruise boat.

DIVING - Exceptional Dive Center! Greg has set aggressive standards and focus on diver safety and healthy reefs. Poppy and Jackie provide a warm welcome in the dive shop. Dive briefing is thorough and diving is easy. Shore diving available from two Divi docks, with tanks located on the dock. HOTEL - We’ve stayed at Divi 15+ times over the years, always due to the diving, not the shabby chic accommodations. Studios have a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishes, cookware. It’s adequate and relatively clean. There have been several “major upgrades” over the years but the rooms still seem in disrepair and poor carpentry. Nice updates in the studios are new comfortable mattresses, dining table, and the full size soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. Our toilet leaked water from the bottom the entire two weeks we were there. Maintenance attempted repair by caulking around the toilet base. We called numerous times requesting additional repair but gave up and kept a towel around toilet base. Perhaps wax rings aren’t available in Bonaire. Bathroom door didn’t close due to crooked door, black stuff in shower corner under the caulk, lamp shade stained, holes in curtains. The dresser drawers wouldn’t close, so we stuffed a folded paper towel to keep it shut.

Great Dive Shop, But Room Concerns I enjoyed parts of my stay at Divi Flamingo—especially the excellent dive shop and friendly restaurant staff. However, I experienced skin irritation during my visit that raised some concerns about the room’s cleanliness. I can’t say for certain what caused it, but it was uncomfortable enough to consult a doctor. While I was moved to another room, my belongings stayed behind for a while, which made me uneasy. There was also some confusion around laundry help, which added to the frustration. I’m not looking for compensation, but I do hope the hotel takes guest health and hygiene issues more seriously in the future.

Excellent diving operation

We got to our room and it was not cleaned and even if they could clean the bathroom the show doors at the bottoms were nasty and needed to be replaced. No AC and we backed up and left. The best decision of the stay. If you are going to renovate, do it right.
