Meliá Benidorm

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend with my family. This is our third time staying the Melia and the first time we upgraded to The Level. I must say the staff we're amazing, couldn't do enough for you and no request ever seemed to be a problem. Room was spacious and clean and every evening there was a knock at the door from staff with complementary snacks and water which was a nice touch. No complaints with food, plenty of choice however we only went for breakfast and happy hour so can't comment on lunch/dinner. If I had one critique it would be at check in. It wasn't made clear to us that if you booked The Level upgrade, check in was down stairs next to the restaurant. We waited in the check in queue for around 20mins only to be told we had to check in downstairs. However, it was a quick process once there one to keep in mind for next time. Overall it was a relaxing stay and we will be back.

Great location, facilities, swimming pools and spa area within the hotel. Plenty of sunbeds at the pool area, towels can be rented for €10 deposit. We had a 20th floor room with stunning views. Room was a bit dated but totally fine for a few days stay. We were half board and food was good, fresh and plenty of choice. All the staff that we seen in 5 days were very helpful, friendly and polite.

The other guests. Most were bad mannered, impolite, untidy, loud and messy. Such a lovely hotel but poor bunch of guests especially over the weekend.

The room was dirty. Classed as a family hotel but no balls or floats In the pool. Noise from the cleaners and streets around were horrific

We stayed here just as a 3 day short break to celebrate my daughters birthday. We had a great time, there was nothing to complain about at all. The hotel was spotless, the food was great. It's the first time my husband has never moaned about the food....hallelujah at last 😂 The hotel was just a 10 min walk to the strip so just far enough back away from the noise. And, for those of you who love Lidl, there is one across the road. The local buses go up and down the road where the hotel is located. The hotel has an indoor and an outdoor pool. The outdoor pool is huge and there are plenty of sunbeds. You need a swimming caps for the indoor pool, and you can buy them from the hotel shop. They were only 1.50euro, or 1 euro. I can't remember what my daughters said they paid now. We would definitely go back to this hotel. It was faultless!

Air conditioning wasn’t working in the room and it took them over 24 hours and 3 calls to resolved the problem.
