- Booked a room with 2 queen beds but they were in fact full size beds - Shower was a stall shower and dark - The area under the window seat had cracked, sharp wood (broken) - The room was hard to find and the outside view was of a parking lot - The room connected to another room and didn’t feel secure - Most of all, the value felt wrong. It was almost $700 for one night with taxes and fees and we felt like we overpaid. It seemed like a $300 room to me- if that. Not luxurious at all.
USUSUSThe location for the Big Sur marathon is perfect. Walk two blocks to the bus, the race ends across the street! The grounds are nice and access to the Barnyard restaurants was great.
Standards for cleaning the room were low. Careless things, leaving a cleaning rag, a pile not swept into the dust pan…
USUSI did not have hot water for a shower in the morning. It was expensive to not be able to take a shower before traveling to the next spot.
USI feel like I was ripped off. The daily rate listed when I made my reservation was $282. However, my final bill was $469.24. That is because there is a $30 self-parking fee and a $135 pet fee. Neither of those costs was made clear prior to booking. Nor is it reasonable to charge that kind of pet fee; $100 of the fee was for the use of a dog bed, a dog treat, and a rubber water bowl. The $30 parking fee should be included in the room cost since it must be charged universally. The shower also was alternately hot and cold (without adjustment). The in-room coffee was watery and filled with debris from what I assume are old coffee pods. The room was nice but the cost was way too high and felt deceptive and dishonest.
