Beautiful hotel very clean but no weights in the tiny gym, besides that very clean and friendly

I was visiting Greenville with a friend over a weekend in April 2024, and we had the opportunity to spend a Saturday night at this hotel. When we first arrived, it was a couple hours before the official check-in time. I just wanted to see if our room was ready. There was a bit of confusion because I was told that there's a $10 fee for checking in early. I didn't mind paying that fee for the sake of getting settled in early. After a few minutes, and after the front desk staff member spoke with the manager, I learned that the early check-in fee is $10 per hour... meaning I would have had to pay $20 to check in early. I was okay with $10 but not $20. No big deal... my friend and I left and did a few other things in town before we returned to the hotel to check in. When we came back to check in, the process went okay. Our room (#104) was clean and comfortable... no problems there. I can't speak to the quality of the breakfast because I ended up eating elsewhere, although my friend who stayed with me slept in and had a light breakfast before we checked out. It sounded from him like the breakfast was okay. Overall, we had a good stay. If I find myself needing lodging again in the future in Greenville, I wouldn't have any qualms about staying here again.
