Staybridge Suites Corning by IHG

We had a snowy overnight at Staybridge Suites Corning, NY. Overall, service was slow (we stood at an empty reception desk for ~15 minutes before someone came out from the back--recommend staff putting up a sign with an estimated return time if no one will be available for more than a few minutes). The room was generally clean with: - Bedside table and electrical outlets on both sides of a queen-sized bed; - Good counter space in bathroom, though the vanity was in the room without a door/curtain to block light; - Functional hair dryer, but no shower cap; - Lightly-scented toiletries (large bottles attached to shower and vanity walls); - Vent fan in bathroom; - Tissues; and - Adequate basic wifi--no smart TV, but DVDs available for "rental" in the lobby. The view of the courtyard (with basketball court) was a winter wonderland and so quite quiet. Though there was a kitchenette, there was only filtered water available in the fitness facility. The fitness facility was small and (because it was combined with the laundry room) unpleasantly humid. I did not work out during my 1-night stay. Overall, the hotel is generally walkable to convenience store and the Corning Glass Museum (~15-minutes) and restaurants (~20-30 minutes in nicer weather).

I love that the suite had a well prepared kitchen. I saw the pool but didnt use it, and having laundry services was also a big plus!

There really wasn't anything bad, or to improve. I really appreciate having breakfast included but the eggs were rubbery, both days I was there. I conclude this is due to using liquid egg product.

Great breakfast, immaculate suite! I was traveling with family and friends, and they all enjoyed their stay. No complaints. Corning is my favorite little town. We will be back!

Not in your control but the guest above us were extremely loud until 4am! It honestly sounded like they were bowling...Otherwise, we had a great stay as usual.

The location, cleanliness, staff, free breakfast

Wish the mattresses in the room were a little softer. The sofa bed mattress was awful.

Breakfast was good they need someone else assisting on weekends to keep things full. The suite fit the entire family and the sink being outside the bathroom is nice.

They dont do cleaning services on weekend and if their is a kitchenette they should have large garbage pails or pick up in morning

Not well maintained. Bathroom counter was sticky in some spots and grainy in others. No extra roll of toilet paper. Torn couch cushion cover. A dead bulb in light on a night table. Shower stocked with 2 dispensers of conditioner and one of body wash. No shampoo. Rock hard bed.
