Fairfield Inn & Suites Christiansburg

Hotel is very convenient to I-81 with a number of restaurants nearby. We were stopping for the night and it was fine. We had a room with 2 queens and there was easily room to add a roll-away or two. Included breakfast was typical fare. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a very nice hotel. The people at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and we enjoyed the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very pleasant and willing to help. This is a franchise Marriott, and, in my opinion, not up to the Marriott brand standards. The bed was uncomfortable, the curtains don’t black out outside lights, the room door is not tight on the frame and hall light glares in at night, blow dryer was broken and bathroom walls needed lots of cleaning care. The breakfast bar was a big negative such as stale English muffins and missing almost all condiments. Ice machine on our floor was out of order. The pantry was lacking in choices of food and snacks to purchase. We were also put in a hearing impaired room. This upset me as I’m not hearing impaired and we’re taking away for those who need it.

Extremely clean, rooms were super quiet and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Couldn’t hear your neighbors or their showers. Excellent breakfast!! Turkey sausage and spinach and Swiss Quiche was excellent!

The hotel was in a good location

They did not clean our room. When we asked why, they said on stays of 2 days they only clean the room upon request. However, they did not inform us of this policy when we checked in. We paid well above the normal cost of the room because it was a football weekend at Va Tech (twice the normal price), so the LEAST they could have done is make the bed and clean the room. This was highly disappointing!

Check in at 9pm at night was greeted with such a nice girl and had a nice conversation and was very helpful.
