Motel 6-Pulaski, TN

The only thing there was to like was the friendly man who checked us in.

We opened the door to a filthy room with not well working facilities. Then, there was the permanent resident who lived in the room right next door to us. In the room was a dog he yelled curse words at constantly and could be heard all night long through the paper-thin walls. Oh, and one of the rooms we could even see a bird inside - this place is a filthy zoo - literally!

Not a fan! Hotel is old and run down. Office is across a mostly gravel lot. Staff though not rude was not overly friendly upon check-in and did not seem confident when answering questions. Room was very out dated and had many broken/worn features: bed spread was worn and had cigarette burns, soap holder broken off in bathtub, toilet lif was broken on the edge, heat was inconsistent (one part of the room had cool air blowing while the other side felt like a furnace, and it took over a half hour to get the water even slightly warm. (Water was never warm enough to shower and when mentioned to office we were told that they weren't used to cool weather in the area and the pipes weren't insulated. We are from only a couple of hours away and the weather we had during our stay was not out of the ordinary.) The location is convenient as it is just off of the interstate, but the are no services other than a gas station with a convenience store and a restaurant that is not open very often. You have to drive 25 minutes in order to find other food options. This area seems to have possible "extra curricular" activities going on since there were people driving in and out of the lot all night long, well after midnight, and car and room doors opening and closing continuously. Not a great place to get restful sleep.

Explored the city of Pulaski and found a restaurant called the Kitchen. The food and service were good and we got a good feel for a small American town.

The washcloths and towels were clean but somewhat aged and lacking a fresh white look.

No hot water. No matter what time of day. Was suppose to stay 3 days but only stayed 2. The sheets were stained and the blankets were rough.
