Super 8 by Wyndham Normal Bloomington

Not what i was expecting. The in room ac/ heat didn't work. The beds were fine and the toilet didn't flush correctly. The tv worked. The breakfast was just pineapple juice and a cracker. Lucky there is a BK and other place near by for real eggs. No tea, only coffee. Not happy for the price.

Location was convenient to where we wanted to go.

Very outdated. Needs a lot of fixing up. Various smells. There was a man sitting in stairway smoking. Grab and go breakfast is Apple juice and a granola bar.

My expectations were pretty low due to the low cost, but it was pretty bad. Dirty carpet and coffee pot. The bed had small black things (not bugs). Toilet barely flushed when it did. Hole and cracks in wall in bathroom. Light that flickered. Very noisy AC unit. The included breakfast was in a bag and had a bottle of apple juice and granola bar. On the good side the TV worked and the person at the desk was friendly.

Run far away. Rooms were covered in filth, grime and Mold! We had to switch rooms because of the mold, and there was still mold in the next room. No hot water for the shower in rm 209. No hot water for the sink in room 219. Broken lamps that are a total fire hazard. Everything was broken, the trim, dressers, lamps, lamp shades, fridge, phone. The outlet had pieces of a plug left in it. Mattresses were stained brown. The walls had boogers, dirt and who knows what else. Looked like drips and stains all over the walls. I didnt want to touch anything in those rooms. Carpets were filthy. Blankets had burn holes and were so old theyre falling apart.

These days, you can’t find good accommodations for less than $100 per night. They tried to be nice and friendly and made an effort to keep it clean—if you can call it that. But what is old stays old, and a little bit of attitude won’t change that. The entire place needs renovation. If you’re looking for medium to good conditions, find another place.

The front desk attendant was rude throughout my stay. The rooms weren’t fully clean, and the “breakfast” was a joke. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere

I check in and spent 5 minutes in our room making another reservation because my daughter and I could not stay here. It was dirty, smelled awful and furniture was broken. Leftover shampoo from previous guest. We left unsafe and left.
