Super 8 by Wyndham Nixa/Springfield Area

Simple hotel, nothing fancy, but clean and nice staff. My room was very clean with everything needed, fridge and microwave. I’d stay again.

It was located near a park and a variety of places to eat. Desk staff was very accommodating to get us on the first floor. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.

No elevator. Stairs were steep and I had a hard time getting my belongings up the 2 flights of stairs. Had to use my inhaler.

Super8 is the only hotel in Nixa so they run the market. It’s a dated hotel and based on their near-empty parking lot, they seem to regularly have ample room availability; so we showed up with no reservation. (I used to live in Nixa). We secured a King Suite. Two night stay- $269.00. The hotel was very clean and appeared well-maintained, especially since it’s not a newer build. The King Suite had plenty of room for my wife and I to spread out our suitcases. The room was equipped with iron/ironing board, small fridge, small microwave and single-serve Keurig style coffee maker. The TV station selections were more than sufficient but no streaming options. All the room lamps had operating light bulbs. The room was spotless even though dated. The hotel had an “old hotel” smell but no detection of smoking, which is great since it’s a non-smoking facility. As noted in other reviews, we found the staff very agreeable. The breakfast area was small but since we’re not big breakfast eaters, it was more than we needed (waffle maker, cereal, toast, fruit, bagels, biscuits/gravy, coffee, apple and orange juice). A brand new 7Brew coffee facility is directly next door and a Price Cutter grocery store is less than 1/2 mile from the hotel. Local restaurants are easily accessible and most are are within 1-2 miles from the hotel. Typical key-card exterior and interior access. Plenty of free parking next to the hotel. The outdoor pool was not open yet. No room safe. No workout facility. Free Wi-Fi. Considering the price-point, we didn’t expect 5 star accommodations; so we were not disappointed with any amenity we might have usually expected. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Pleased with our stay at Super8!

Enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly. Bed comfortable. No smells in room. Breakfast was good with waffles biscuits and gravy. Yogurt muffins. Apples and bsgles toast. Juice and coffee.
