Travelodge by Wyndham Wahpeton

The Front Desk worker seemed annoyed to help me when I checked in at 3:15pm - like I was "too early"...check in stated 3pm or later. Over all terrible value for what you pay. Would not recommend staying here. Better off sleeping in your car instead of shelling out $200 for a MID motel at best.

Breakfast selection was good. The price was reasonable, especially after the general manager reduced the price due to issues we had. The general manager was responsive to our (and apparently several others') concerns about the front desk worker.

The young woman that was on duty when we checked in was annoyed that we disrupted her personal phone call and glared at us as we entered. We were unable to use the center entry door and after trying multiple times we got the same worker to try to reset our keys while she was mumbling something about sometimes they don't reset, we tried once again, same story. This time we asked that she come to help (she had to tell her caller, " I'll have to call you back.") She came out the door from inside the building and tried it and it still didn't open. She then tried the entry at the far end of the building and told us we would have to use that one. After finally getting inside, we opened the door to our room, and for some reason she was coming down the hall toward us. We were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarette smoke so I said I thought this was a smoke-free room? She responded, it is, the whole motel is. We said this room reeks of cigarette smoke. She switched our room to the one next door, which also smelled of cigarette smoke but not nearly as bad. We sprayed Lysol sanitizing spray and called it a night. Her unprofessional attitude made me cringe. Left a really poor impression.

Breakfast was fine, I drink Earl lGrey Tea and you had it!!!

Noise from heating and refrigerator in the night.

It was quiet but we were very far from the main desk and breakfast area Liked the Dove soap and toiletries

The toilet seat hinges had dried urine There was only one washcloth Towels were cheap but the toilet tissue was cheaper Breakfast did not include eggs or meat Cost with tax was $180/night and so not worth it

Polite staff

Nice place to stay. Easy access and parking.

I liked how quiet it was. No barking dogs or late night parties.

Convenient to get to our destination. Reasonably priced. Property was clean.
