Motel 6 Harrisburg PA Near PA Expo Center

This property was unbelievably dirty and damaged. I would never again stay at this location. From the room being dirty and bathroom even worse. Outside dead bugs everywhere from the door and walkway . Ac leaking from the outside and inside of our room. I told someone from the office and didn’t even come to check. The toilet was also leaking from the floor as well and there was mold. SMH

This is by far the worst Motel 6 I've stayed at. I checked in about midnight, got to the hotel, was checked in by a young man. Keys didn't work, he had to walk up to the room and open the door for us, the door had no lock on it (unsafe). The bed sheets had cigarette holes on it, sheets were also riddled with stains, a dark red color, mattress cover was also dirty and oily. Bathroom was nasty and it smelled like dog piss in the room. The front desk attendant let us in the room and saw this, he said nothing. Almost like this was the norm. I was in disbelief how nasty it was. I left and did not return. Requested a refund. I would sleep in the car before laying my head at this place. Highly suggest you go elsewhere if you are able.

We booked a non-smoking room with 2 queen sized beds. We arrived at 11pm and the lady barely spoke English. We were given a smoking room with 2 full sized beds. It smelled disgusting in the room from the stale smoke smell. There was cigarette burns in the blankets. Broken dresser that was a hazard. Sink was broken. I walked over to the front desk to tell them we need a different room but bc she did not speak English she did not understand me. We had no choice but to stay since it was already 11pm. Hotel app tried to contact them to reimburse but they refused. In the end they gave 15% back ($14). All of the photos for this motel are over 20 years old. We had crack heads that "lived" nextdoor to our room. The whole place was disgusting!

I didn't like the moldy bathroom.

First, we did not end up staying at this hotel. The online photos with Expedia DID NOT match the actual rooms when we arrived. The property was in poor condition from the outside and looked like a roach motel. When we entered the lobby the decor was old and outdated, the windows were filthy, and they had some gambling machines I assume to generate some extra revenue. When checking in we requested non-smoking rooms which the desk person agreed to. Of course- They reeked of smoke, the first room had cigarette burns (7) on the comforter, and the bar soap in the bathroom was used. The second room mattress cover was filthy upon inspection, and everything felt like you were going to have cockroaches or bed bugs crawling all over you. It was dark and dingey and again I REPEAT- LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTIS ONLINE. The only thing that went smoothly was when we asked for a refund and demanded our money back, there was no hesitation. Which leads me to believe this happens often,

It was so dirty and the room smelled of smoke, it had flys coming out of the air conditioner. It was awful!

The room smelled like smoke checked. The front door barely closed so we had to use the latch and put stuff in front of the door to be safe. The room was not cleaned at all the bed sheets had stains on them and the floor was not swept being I could see all the rocks and sediments on the floor. Bathroom was decent but legit no soap or anything of the sorts. I mean I paid 64$ for the night, but like damn I was not expecting it to be dirty, old yes but not dirty. Staff was kind and quick to deal with.

The room was filthy. Was not swept, sheets and blanket looked unclean, toliet seat did not match the toliet shape.

I didn’t expect a lot for the price we paid. There weren’t any amenities and I was okay with that. I rated this property “poor” because the towels and linens were faded, the tv remote didn’t work (no volume control or on/off), the floors were dirty around the perimeter of the room, the toilet didn’t flush properly, the toilet seat was cracked and the tub had mold around the edges. The lobby also had a terrible smell. We were in town for a basketball event and all other hotels were fully booked. I wouldn’t stay here again. On a positive note the limited interaction I had with staff was pleasant.
