Quality Inn & Suites Howe - Sturgis

Not much of a selection

Did not accommodate my request for a cot, even though my request online was accepted and said they would have one in my room. There was one in the room and when I asked the front desk person, they said they did not have cots for rooms.

The staff at the front best was nice.

There wasn't an elevator. I had to take my luggage up a flight of stairs and down 2 hallways to get to my room. The hallways were dimly lit. The extra safety lock on my room door was broken, and the headboard was pretty dusty. The bathroom door looked cheap, and you could see where they had patched a hole. The bathtub looked outdated and possibly stained.The breakfast area was really small and looked like it only had a few small tables. I would not recommend this hotel for families or for female travelers.

The motel was simple, clean, and reasonable.

They were so accommodating of us. We arrived more than two hours before check in time and they worked to have a room cleaned and ready to go. We came in from out of town for a wedding at 2:30 and by accommodating us we were able to freshen up and get dressed up after a four hour car ride. Such a great staff!!

The room was horrible. The door wouldn’t shut. We didn’t stay there at all!!! Horrible!!!

I loved the clean room, wonderful sheets, and bed. I felt safe as a woman traveling alone. I had the handicapped room, and the bath and shower were great. First time in an economy hotel where the floors were clean. Had microwave, fridge that worked, ironing board, hair dryer, and lovely shampoo and cream rinse dispensers. Big TV.. Very afordable too.

The front desk had a long line and 1 employee working it was very slow

There was still huge amount of womens hair in the tub. Hair and dirt along baseboards in bathroom. Hotel was fully booked so they sent housekeeping in to clean. He looked at it and said "no hair when i was done", like it was mine, a short haired man! He wiped out the shower and left.

I made reservations for $70 a night but hotel manager informed me it had raised to $90 a night, I don’t get how they could do this, nor hotels.com not doing anything about it.

Upon entering the room I found an empty soda can on the microwave, the tv remote was missing (I searched for it and found it behind and underneath the bed), the fridge did not have shelves or rails (so I could use it), a light bulb was missing from the bedside lamp, and the batteries in our door died so we got locked out of our room (they did give us a master key).
