The breakfast was ok. The staff providing this were friendly and helpful.

On check in we requested a ground floor room as stairs are a problem for us. They were actually half underground and used for people travelling with animals. The room first allocated to us stunk of dog and was not fit to stay in. It smelled really bad. The off hand, disinterested reception person changed us to a 2nd floor room that had not had animals. and no assistance was offered with luggage. There was no lift. This however was right by the stairs and there were loud people talking and clumping around from 6am. The adjoining room's plumbing could be heard very loudly in our room, again disturbing sleep. There were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room and you had to go to reception to get that. The hot water system was not functioning correctly and the reception person never lifted a finger to assist, even when there wasn't anyone requiring her services. She just stated that it worked and keep pushing the lever. Finally after scolding myself with hot water another guest assisted me. Very poor staff attitude. Would NOT recommend staying here. Very poor.
