Knights Inn Albany

Unsecured building, doors open all the time. No elevator. Not the best of areas. Bedding looked like it was slept in and sprayed with Febreze room freshener, afraid to sleep on sheets, went to store and bought our own bedding. Unit looked like it hasn't been upgraded since the eighties. Marijuana smoke coming into room from the bottom of the door. Toilet so small felt like you were sitting on the floor and sink just as low, ceiling was falling down and the shower floor made you feel like it too would cave in. Had a small very old refrigerator that froze everything and NO coffee pot (must have been stolen prior). They did offer watered down coffee at the front desk from 6 to 9am. The only good part was the owner and his wife were very nice and the cleaning woman was nice. I believe that the first floor was rented as a home for some state funded people. Homeless people came in during the night and left in the morning. This was a nightmare place to stay to get away from the hurricane that hit Florida. I guess you get what you pay for, but when you need a safe place to stay away from home when a crisis is happening and there are no places left to stay, one has to settle for a place like this.

We came up from Florida to get away from Hurricane Milton. The staff was very kind. This is an older hotel, but the staff was very nice. I knew from the price it would not be a 5-star hotel so do not go if that is what you are expecting. The bed was comfortable. There was no noise.

I would like to have had the back door locked at all times and have been able to use a key to enter. I can't say that I always felt safe but where is in this world. A little more security would have been preferred.

This was our second visit there and I have to say it would’ve been better if the people above our room would’ve made their kids lie down and not run jump and beat all nite long we barely got any sleep because they were so loud upstairs. Other than that the receptionist was nice as she was the last time we were there

The entire hotel is in need of updating. The bathroom sink needed replastering, the bed linens had cigarette burns in them. The refrigerator in one of the rooms that my family was staying in didn't close at all.

We had a great time it was by most of the restaurants we liked and in a safe neighborhood.

Close to major road and McDonald’s .

Smelled like pure cigarettes in the hotel and the sheets were stained and beds were hard . It was good enough but is definitely outdated and needs some refreshing.
