Super 8 by Wyndham Sheldon

This was a last minute decision to spend the night in Sheldon, Iowa. My room was very clean, and recently remodeled. Front desk, older gentleman, was knowledgeable about what's in the area.

Quiet facility but amenities were sparse.

Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was a disappointment. Waffle mix was separated and watery. Had cereal. Table had dried food on it.

I had 3 soft pillows and bed was comfy!! Employee was a lady working at night and she was very pleasant and helpful.

Visible Mold on ceiling in shower. I have a picture. Also bathtub was filthy and had a noticeable dirt ring on all sides of the interior. I took pictured of that too. Did not shower due to this unhealthy bathroom. The man working in the morning was not helpful. He was sitting down and on his personal phone and couldnt see him. Had questions about complimentary breakfast location and food. He didnt get up to help. Just pointed his finger and said that way. Not helpful or professional in manner or dress.

Bedding was either stained or not changed. We didn't complain as we were just tired and had already unpacked. We just slept in top of the bed and raised the heat in the room. Breakfast was VERY limited that we ended up going to McDonalds instead of taking advantage of the complimentary breakfast. The property entrance and lobby were very dark. Front desk staff were nice.

The expectations did not match what I expected. THey were much better than what I expected.
