Texas Inn & Suites

The property was located in a safe place and ha easy access. Several restaurants within walking distance. Rooms were spacious and clean. All the systems worked and were in good repair. Staff(owners) were helpful and courteous. If you are overnighting in Lufkin, give them a try. Oh yeah, they are the most reasonably priced motel around.

Price was fair and location was great and easy to navigate to. Our room was clean and comfortable. The entry door and bathroom door both dragged the floor like it was unlevel or something so they were hard to open and close. I didn't see any robes in room as it says on overview.. only juice and coffee were served in the common area at breakfast time. No continental breakfast to be found. Other than this our stay was unremarkable but comfortable.

There was no advertised breakfast. The room must have been hastily cleaned as there was a wet towel hanging on the wastebasket. Would we stay there again? Probably not.

As we come to the front entrance of hotel the door was locked and a sign saying ring bell for service. This is 9:45pm on a Friday evening. Rang bell 4 times which seemed to be eternity, and 8-10 mins later a man came to the window and rudely asked “What”!! I said here to check In, and then he asked for my license, in which he never opened up the door to the lobby he just took my id and walked away. He went behind a wall where we couldn’t see him and Approx 12 mins later he finally returned with my Id and our room key in which he slid under a glass window and told us where the room was and that was it! Terrible communication! And needless to say the room was not worth the money we paid for the night. Old and outdated, wouldn’t let my dog sleep in the room on the bed for that matter! Won’t ever be back to this hell hole, rather sleep in a box under a bridge then stay here again! Honestly!!!!

Booked for 2 nights. Difficult to get into parking lot. As soon as I got into room roach on TV stand. No water pressure in sink and sink would not drain. Next morning found roach in tissue box. Requested refund for second night and was refused. Lady at front desk was rude. Did not return for second night.

Overall a great deal for the $$$$. Just an overnight stay
