Super 8 by Wyndham Kokomo

Room was not that clean, drapes were stained,cloudy window you couldn't see out of, mirror streaked. No bath mat in tube. Very slippery in tub, almost fell taking a shower. Not very friendly in kokomo to out of towners.

I had never stayed at a Super 8 before and was expecting something like a Motel 6. This is a Wyndham property, so standards are pretty high. The property and rooms are clean, the beds are high quality and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice assortment of hot items (sausage gravy for biscuits, make-your-own waffles) and other items, like toast, yogurt, hard boiled eggs. The coffee machine is the type where you choose coffee, hot chocolate, mocha/latte/etc. and it dispenses it. There is a small indoor pool that looked clean.

The parking lot was a bit rough and not well lit. We were passing through after a graduation at Purdue and on our drive to Pittsburgh. I had gotten a notice from Super 8 offering an add-on late check out for $20, which was perfect since we would be checking in very late and had a long drive ahead of us. When I opted for the late check in, I got a reply that my request couldn't be completed due to an issue and to contact the front desk. We arrived at the hotel after midnight, and although the woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, she couldn't help me with the late checkout. I felt like I was give unexpected hope and then it was dashed :(

It was as would be expected. The staff was good at their jobs and sociable.

Price was on the high side.

There were two used bath towels hanging on the bathroom door.
