Easy access. Best value in Thunder Bay.

Very old building with old smells, etc. traffic noise on the front side.

I chose Super 8 due to its reputation.

At every booking, I sent a request for a ground floor room due to disability. Though I had correspondence come from the hotel to me in the same string, at check in I was told no request had been received. Only after my husband became assertive was a ground floor option offered. No disclosure about any room concerns was included. We had to call the front desk in the early evening as the toilet was overflowing. Someone came with a plunger but was unable to properly use it. My husband then proceeded to do so and clean the floor. We then had wet towels in our bathtub from the backup. The man left commenting if we had further trouble he might need to find us another room. No follow up was made. In the morning, the option of a shower was of course off the list as the tub was no longer clean. At checkout I handed in the keys and the comment made was " Have a good Day". I asked if the hotel was open to feedback and shared. I remain waiting to hear from the Manager. I am certainly not holding my breath.

the front staff person was very helpful. Rooms a good size.

we are retired seniors and not having an elevator was challenging, although the front staff person did offer to help. We were travelling with an enclosed trailer and the parking lot is cramped and limited. The continental breakfast was lacking in presentation and options.

The receptionist was excellent and very accommodating
