Super 8 by Wyndham Monett

You only have 2 choices for hotels in Monett, MO. This one was the better of the two however, this one was not without issues! First, the clerk (Tanisha) at the front desk on check in gave us a rate for our stay for the duration. This did not happen on check out. We were charged a fluctuating lodging rate from $91.50 up to $126.00 a night, which was not within our agreement. Second, we had wifi issues for the first week. No wifi. Third, the hotel has overloaded electrical circuits that cause the power to shut off when using multiple appliances or devices. These are also fire hazards and code violations that the hotel needs to address before they have a fire caused by overloaded electrical outlets. I'm a retired FF and I know these things to be true. Fourth, never anyone on site with any authority to give assistance or help with making your stay more satisfying. The one lady that pretends to be a manager had no idea of authority, knowledge or wherewithal to handle the duties of a manager and the manager/owner was never available in person, by phone/text or email to help with anything. He had one excuse after the other for not returning calls for assistance. Fifth, the hotel is outdated and is need of updating and/or refresh. Dirty carpets and stained sofas. Sixth, the reported daily breakfast was pretty sad with watered down coffee and stale pastries. We will definitely not book this hotel ever again. If I ever have to come back to that area for work again, I'll drive from another location that has more reliable and satisfactory accommodations that also abides by their reservation agreements.

The manager of this place was awful thank god she only checked us in and left. This manager discriminates against service dogs. Told me because i had one i needed to be up stairs where the subpar linens are at. No elevater in hotel and we have mobility issues. I told her that doesnt work and we have to have a room on the ground floor. I have stayed at this hotel before on the ground floor with my service dog had put it on my reservation and called last Friday to confirm and was told all was good. She told me we needed subpar linens because people have allergies. I cam back with i have allergies to perfumes and that doesnt mean people with perfume get subpar linens. She blew that comment off put me on the 1st floor left the hotel running the red light on her way out. The afternoon person and night person were very apologetic and very helpful. I grew up with my dad running a hotel this manager is going to get super 8 sued for ada violations. No one else on our team requested a room on the bottom they were all put in on didnt have to fight for it, I requested one due to disabilities and was made to fight for it. This hotel is the best the town has but the wrost i stay in. Ps pool was broken they cant afford to fix it. Breakfast is not worth it went to McDonald's the 2nd morning of our stay. Only good part was afternoon and night desk clerks.

The reason i went was for the pool that they have "closed flr the season" its summer this is the season for the pool. I didnt feel safe in the room with the drug addicts that were yelling and fighting in the building. The rooms were dirty with signs posted asking the guests to clean it themselves. I wont stay here again. Go to Springfield or Joplin and pay a little more for the confort of bwing safe and leaving your belongings in the room.

If this property had any competition, it would have to lower its prices very significantly! It is way overpriced for the quality and size of the market here. The amenities are quite minimal. The breakfast is almost laughable for a Wyndham property. The air conditioning system is window units that seem to avoid reducing the humidity in the rooms acceptably.

Helpful cheerful staff who go out of their way to assist

Pool was out of service indefinitely, no elevator at this property. No opportunity given to relocate or refund once it was learned that these ADVERTISED amenities were actually not available

Nice, clean and quite

The front desk was friendly. The room was clean. The hotel doesn’t have an elevator but luckily we were on the first floor. I would stay there again.

Room was clean. Location was convenient for me. Breakfast was ok. Reasonable variety, only negative was the juice. It was strange tasting, maybe watered down. I had OJ and wife had Apple, both were bad.

Ask the old lady in the office if she can change my room it smelled like pets and it was a smoking room I can’t stand the smell and its messing with my allergies
