AmericInn by Wyndham Black River Falls I-94 on ATV Trail

Upon check in, staff wasnt very helpful. Didnt tell us which stairs would be easier access from parking, and there was no elevator, which alsobwasnt mentioned. We are able bodied people, but carrying in coolers and other things, this would have been helpful information.

We had two youth softball teams booked to stay here for a local tournament with the pool being one of the draws. When we got there, we were quite disappointed in the condition of the property. This felt like it would not meet a national chain’s standards. We were advised the hot tub was out of order, bummer..but not a big deal. We then went into the pool area and were dismayed at the condition of the pool. It had stale water that appeared to not have been filtered for a significant amount of time. There were dead bugs and a scum-like material on the top of the water (picture to a of sunscreen visibly floating on the top surface of a pool). I asked the front desk girl if the pool filtration had been turned off for a few days and she said she didn’t know as that wasn’t her department, but she would let maintenance know. This was on a Friday night and neither of the two team’s parents felt safe letting our kids swim in the stagnant water. Both teams opted to go to other area hotels and pay to swim there (both a Best Western and Super 8). Our coaches went to Walmart to buy new sheets for their bed as the hotel’s linens were dirty. The No property was quite dated. The only vending machine on property was out of order with a sign taped to it saying see the front desk if you needed anything. There is no elevator so you would have to stay on the first floor if you cannot manage stairs. Will not be returning or recommending this particular AmericInn to others.

Was very happy with check in and out staff was excellent. Room was quiet and clean our stay was very nice.

Easy access to atv trails

Upon arrival owner tried to charge for room that was prepaid, finally after giving date and proof of prepayment he said "oh there it is". Hot tub was broke 5 years ago when we stayed there, still waiting for parts. Hot tub and pool both dirty, if it's not working wouldn't you clean it? Room was pretty clean, but out of shampoo and the carpets throughout need to be cleaned.overall condition of building not the greatest. Take the doors off the dumpster area and pick up all the trash around them, that's been like that a long time. First "breakfast" coffee machine broke, waffle machine broke, cereal but out of milk. Options were bagels, toast, eggs & sausage. Second day closed because of failed inspection. Third day we just went elsewhere again. We were with a group and of the 16 of us we'll stay elsewhere next time

This place needs a total overhaul. The sink doesn’t drain. The shower curtain and bedding were stained. The walls had large spots where paint was missing. The pool was so dirty it had bugs floating on top and looked like a pond. There was no way we could use it. The washer and dryer didn’t work and the one vanity light was burnt out. Would not recommend.

Stayed 2 nights and no maid service. The shampoo and lotion containers in the bathroom were empty. 2nd day the toasters weren’t working hot tub still isn’t fixed from last time we stayed here and that was a couple of months ago

It was on the Trail/Bed comfortable-Positive NEGATIVES:The hot tub was not working. The hotel is definitely in need of some maintenance. The screen on the window was damaged and didn't feel it was safe to open window! Breakfast was very limited compared to other places we have stayed. The windows by pool were cracked and all windows needed to be washed

Property needs some updates. Shower was the worst! Flooring not covered, at a slop & felt like you could fall through. Coffee was gone in the morning with breakfast (7:00am), told the front desk lady came back 20 minutes later & still no coffee. Staying somewhere else for the rest of our stay in town.
