Good location and pricing was good. It was a nice room but the staff wasn't pleasant at all. They seemed scared to even open the night window at 5pm to get people checked it. I think they could improve on this.

"No Breakfast, unfriendly front murder hole (no desk), and lack of security."

The visit started with feeling like we were criminals trying to rob the place. The lobby was closed (for renovations allegedly) with our check in through a murder hole in the wall on the outside slipping our id and payment information through a slot. Then we were informed with no apology that the “free included breakfast” was not being offered any more despite that being advertised on their website and a main reason we choose this motel over another. Then the room they gave us was occupied. The room they then gave us, the door was falling apart and you can clearly see the outside all the way around the door. Despite being a non-smoking room it clearly smelled of smoke. And several of the outlets in the room were soo decrepit that no plug would stay in them. The bathtub had no stopper and the water diverted didn’t work well, so at least half the water pressure went out the spicket instead of the shower head. When we asked for extra pillows (their pillows are tiny), not only were we refused, but we were looked like we were Oliver Twist asking for more porridge, Other than that, the A/C worked ok, the beds were nice and stable (not mushy), and the place seemed basically clean. Also, while the front murder hole staff was exceedingly unfriendly, the cleaning ladies were exceedingly friendly.

I feel bad for the housekeepers. Management makes them start knocking on doors at 7:45 am. We were there 4 nights and never got sufficient sleep. There was no do not disturb option because everyone was noisy all day and other guests were noisy all night. The housekeepers were incredibly friendly though and they deserve better. The sheets were blood stained and we found a bug in our bed. The lobby has been closed for over a year. There is no continental breakfast as advertised.

It was a very challenging staying here because our older daughter was sick that night. The people at the hotel were very understanding and helpful and let us stay longer.
