"Good Clean Super 8 on West Side of Kansas City"

Stayed here as it was close to a family event. Very clean and well maintained Super 8 and the staff was very congenial. Very quiet as well. The breakfast is minimal (2 cereals, packaged sweet stuff, juice, milk and coffee). Could be improved a bit with just a little effort. Otherwise would give them a 5

"NEVER AGAIN"

This place is exactly what you picture from a Super 8 of 30 years ago. The building is old and dingy. Our room smelled so bad of smoke and must. They had dehumidifiers running in the hallways. The carpet was old and run down. The water pressure in the shower was awful. The continental breakfast was non-existent. We were woken in the night by the people above us walking around in their room. The guy that checked us in was nice but when we asked a different guy if we could get a late checkout, he just looked at me and said "NO". The hotel was absolutely empty so there was no reason we couldn't get a late checkout, but the answer was no. We booked there because Lawrence was booked for an event weekend but there was a lovely Holiday Inn Express and Hilton Four Seasons just up the highway in Olathe, (next time). We thought, maybe Super 8 is better these days. We sure learned our lesson at least about this one.
