Super 8 by Wyndham Hagerstown/Halfway Area

Seemed like a new property. A little off the beaten path but not too hard to find. Lots of restaurants & shopping close to the hotel. Found an EV charger about a mile away. Very clean room & friendly staff. Good selection of breakfast choices.

It was hard to turn around, and I didn’t like that I had to check in at the desk versus when I use other hotels. I can just use the booking site and do everything through the booking site because when I did the booking site, I was told that I still to check in through the desk.

Worst floor plan ever for a hotel. Luggage carts in lobby, but no elevator to 2nd floor. Only stairs were at ends of hall. Room right above check-in desk but had to go to end of building, lug bags up stairs then walk halfway back across building. Keys locking doors are hit or miss. Guide for television channels list channels that are not available. Front desk was curt. Breakfast was pitiful.

Close to shopping and restaurants. Easy to find.

Low shower head. I'm 6 feet tall, and the shower head was at eye level. I also wish there was coffee in the room so I didn't have to go downstairs.
