American Inn - Paducah

Budget friendly, AND clean—cannot beat it! Paired down but the bed was comfortable & sheets were soft. It was exactly what we were looking for a one night stay on a long road trip. We would stay here again.

No facial tissue in the room, tub and caulking could use a refinish/redo. Good location and value for the $.

Location

The towels and wash clothes are old and need replaced. When I got a “clean” towel off rack after showering, it had a hair ball stuck on it from several different peoples hair. The staff are really washing their linen instead of using a professional service. Bed linen old and scratchy. Bugs on the floor. Knats and lady bugs flying around. No breakfast. Coffee was gross. I threw it out. No words to describe it. I paid $82 total for that room that wasn’t worth more than $40. I told the desk guy I wanted a room in the shade and pointed to the back. It was hot and I wanted to sit outside to relax. He puts me next to 3 other people in direct sunlight. I had him change the room. Another family were traveling and wanted their rooms next to each other. He had them separated and they had to get theirs changed also.

Right off the highway. Super clean. Very friendly, helpful staff, probably owners. Very comfortable. We felt very safe. We would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were clean and nice but bed was very hard. For a dog friendly hotel the rooms were exceptional. We poooper scooped but many did not. An outdoor bag station with garbage can would be nice.
