DoubleTree by Hilton Sunrise - Sawgrass Mills

Beautiful hotel located near Sawgrass Mills. There is an Olive Garden in walking distance. They have a nice looking pool and free parking too. We were presented with a warm cookie on arrival. The beds are a cloud of comfort. Clean and well maintained facility has a mini store for late night snacks and such. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We will be back!!

When you are planning a milestone event for 240 guests, the person guiding you through the process matters just as much as the venue itself. For our 30th Anniversary Gala, that person was Wayne Haltiwanger, Catering Sales Manager at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sunrise Sawgrass Mills, and we cannot say enough about the experience of working with him. From our very first conversation to the final moments of the evening, Wayne was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our event a success. He walked us through every detail with care, from menu selection to refining our event requirements, offering expert guidance every step of the way without ever making the process feel overwhelming. His steady hand and warm professionalism made what could have been a complicated undertaking feel remarkably smooth and manageable. On the evening itself, his oversight was remarkable. Every detail was attended to, every concern anticipated, and every guest was well taken care of. Wayne is the kind of professional who makes you feel that your event matters to him personally. We hosted our 30th Anniversary Gala at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sunrise Sawgrass Mills on April 18, 2026, and the culinary team exceeded every expectation. Under the careful oversight of Executive Chef Fabiana Torres Murat, the kitchen delivered a beautifully composed dinner for 240 guests. The menu featured a beautifully seasoned jerk chicken with a tropical dressing alongside a delicate honey ginger salmon, accompanied by fresh broccoli and carrots. A crisp spring mix salad opened the evening, and dessert brought a lovely sampling of cheesecake and chocolate cake that was the perfect close to a memorable meal. What truly stood out was the professionalism and warmth of the entire service team. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the evening. Late arrivals were accommodated seamlessly and with complete discretion, which speaks volumes about the grace and training of this team. For any organization planning a large event, the catering team at this property is a genuine asset. We are grateful for the care they brought to our milestone evening.
