Super 8 by Wyndham Portales

Perfect location for university football game, close drive to dining. Clean and good value! Staff very efficient.

The location was perfect we were there for funeral and the church was right around the corner

It was very run down, to flush the toilet you had to hold the lever down the whole time and it was slow, the shower had water coming from the top and bottom so it wasn’t draining fast enough so you were standing in a puddle of water. One of the beds was broken and they weren’t very comfortable

I was close to our event, the breakfast was ok

The cigarette smell was horrible, the room smelled like old cigarettes we bought candles and air fresheners I didn’t help much

We asked for a late checkout at check in but it was never communicated and my family was thrown out while I was getting gas.

Nothing.

There were cockroaches in the bathroom and it stunk, it was also stained. They changed our room however it was still unsettling.

It's been a long time since I've stayed at a Super 8 because the rooms were outdated and even the non-smoking rooms smelled like a dirty ashtray. Sonce they are now part of the Wyndham company, I thought I'd give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised. My room had been updated. New flooring and wall covering. Absolutely no funny smells. Amenities - fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blow dryer, cloths iron & ironing board, newer towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bar soap. Very well kept room. I had a great night's sleep. I will gladly stay here again!
