Super 8 by Wyndham Byron/South Macon

There was an issue with check-in where the manager was charging us $20 for a pet fee. The booking online did not show those charges. He took my credit card and license, made copies, printed out a paper with our estimated bill. My husband signed bur write that he disagreed with the charge. We wanted a copy and this is when the real problems started. He would not give us a copy of what we signed for. Then the manager refused to allow us to stay. He felt we would cause problems which we never would have done such a thing. We merely disagreed with the charge though we begrudgingly were going to pay it and we wanted our paperwork as verification. In the end he refused service, tore up one sheet at our request with my ID and gave us the form. We left and went across the street to Days Inn and booked with a really nice lady at the desk. That place did have bugs and the desk clerk gave us Bed Bug spray to use. Not a good experience at Super 8. Never dealt with that before. We never saw the room at Super 8 so my ratings on the room itself can not be fully considered in this review.

The room was ok but there was a strong smell when we arrived, like moldy smell.

Your rooms are very clean and the staff and the manager are very kind and nice and I never any problems at all and the breakfast is always hot and ready every morning at 6:00 a.m the place is very clean including the bathrooms everything's clean they do a really good job at keeping it spotless

There was a domestic dispute in the parking lot that lasted from 12:30-2am got no sleep!!

A quick one night stay due to backed up traffic on 75. Clean comfortable bed. Quick showe, good.
